“You’re so good at manifesting.”
My eloquent response was…
“Huh?”
Let’s take a step back.
I was at a small dinner party with some friends last night, and was chatting with somebody’s partner, whom I knew but had never really talked to, because when they are together, her partner usually does the talking.
We talked about numerous topics, and I was blown away at how knowledgeable she was on different topics.
We’re talking about business… because, yes, most of my friends are entrepreneurs when out of the blue – at least for me – she says:
“You’re so good at manifesting. When you say you want something, you get it.”
I will admit, I was very confused. You see, I do not believe in manifesting things. I don’t think that by making a vision board, picturing it vividly in my head while breathing deeply, anything is going to happen.
So I asked her what she meant.
She started to list off examples like:
“You said you would build another online school and then 2 years later you are past 4 Million in revenue.”
“You say you will arrange a trip to Japan for entrepreneur friends, and you are putting it on next year.”
“You said you would lose 10 lbs last year and you did.”
“Ahh” I say… but I am still confused.
You see, this has nothing to do with manifesting. They happen because I decide to do things and then take the steps to do them. Want to build a business, learn, and put in the work. Want to arrange a trip, arrange a trip. Want to lose weight, exercise, and eat less.
No manifestation or superpowers required.
So if you are somebody who has been making vision boards for yourself and nothing happens (or worse, one thing happens and gives you hopes manifestation is working), I have a better solution for you.
Stop visualising/dreaming/planning/visioning.
Just do… the… work.
Then, maybe, you can also get good at “manifesting”.
